第七天：抓住基礎 詞句為先---核心詞組篇之二（939字）

書接上回，文續前篇。今天仍然總結核心詞組。先看一例：

原文：

The researchers studied the behavior of female brown capuchin monkeys. They look cute. They are good-natured, co-operative creatures, and they share their food readily. Above all, like their female human counterparts, they tend to pay much closer attention to the value of “goods and services than males.

問題：

• Female capuchin monkeys were chosen for the research most probably because they are

問題中的最高級most probably將我們引向原文的最高級Above all（原文黑體系本文作者所加）所在的句子。比較原文與選項，可以確定（A）為正確答案。上課時有的同學告訴我他們沒選[A]，原因是inclined to（傾向于）不認識。be inclined to作為一個詞組，與原文的tend to（傾向于）同義，因此[A]為正確答案。

上面的例子又一次證明熟悉核心詞組的重要性。
