學院概況
Since its establishment，the Animation School has long been valued by the officials from the Central and local governments who have given instructions to speed up the development of animation program，thus pointing out the direction of and injecting momentum into its growth. Following the instruction that"measures should be taken to give strong support for the development of original products in Chinese animation and game industries，improve the cultivation of talents for production of animations and games，and speed up the growth of Chinese animation industry and game industry"， the Animation School of BFA works enthusiastically in the spirit of the Central Government and takes the advantages of BFA in talent cultivation，to give impetus to and expedite the talent cultivation in the whole animation industry and game industry，in an effort to build the Animation Scgool of BFA into a talencultivation base por China's original animations and games.
動畫學院成立以來受到中央和地方領導人的高度重視，先后做出指示要大力發展動畫專業，為動畫專業的發展指明了方向和注入了動力。2000年，時任中共中央政治局常委、國務院副總理李嵐清同志到電影學院視察工作。2004年，北京市委副書記龍新民到電影學院進行調研和視察工作。2005年，北京市市長劉淇同志視察北京電影學院，指示要建立一流的動畫創作、教學、理論研究人才培養基地，要創作出中國自己的動畫形象，要為中國的文化事業和電影文化產業做出應有的貢獻。
北京電影學院動畫學院根據“一定要大力扶持我國動漫游戲民族原創產品的發展，擴大對動漫游戲方面人才的培養，并要盡力加快中國動漫產業及游戲產業的發展”的重要指示，積極落實中央加快動畫實業發展的指示精神，率先切實的持續發揮學院在培養人才等各方面領先優勢，以帶動并加快整個動漫及游戲產業的人才培養，力圖將我國動畫專業創作人才的培養規模和質量提高到新的水平、使人才培養更趨于專業化，將北京電影學院動畫學院建設成為國家原創動漫游戲的人才培養基地。
